Your Role

Saab Dynamics in Karlstad is in a strong growth phase. In Karlstad, we work across the entire development chain from technology and product studies to finished products and product care. This means that the responsibilities of your future role may vary depending on your background and level of experience.

Our products are to be world-leading in their segments, and to achieve that, we must ensure that we are at the forefront of technology. This means we want to see that you thrive in your role and that you engage with the tasks that stimulate and help you grow. The focus may therefore vary from sitting and designing new subsystems in our CAD tools to working more practically with mechanical tasks on our products. By collaborating across boundaries with other functions within development and testing.

In this role, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering section within Missile Systems. Your team in Karlstad consists of designers, calculation engineers, and expertise in electromechanics. Collaboration with colleagues and travel to other locations occurs in the position, primarily Karlskoga and Linköping.

The software used within the section for 3D-CAD is Catia, 3DExperience.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others but also likes to take a lot of personal responsibility and independently drive their tasks. You have a genuine interest in technical products and are stimulated by the challenges that arise in the development of cutting-edge products. It is also important that you have a strong interest in learning new knowledge as we work a lot together and learn from each other.

We prefer that you have an education as a university or civil engineer with a focus on mechanical engineering or equivalent. You have previous experience in mechanical design and product development and are accustomed to working in 3D tools. To succeed in the role, you also need to be able to communicate fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
